What is raised in Texas stays in Texas


Every year RMEF returns a portion of monies to the state to be used for local hunting heritage and conservation outreach projects. These funds are allocated through the State Grant Program. Individuals and organizations can apply for these monies through the grant program. Monies raised in 2018 and returned to Texas were allocated to the following the programs:


  • Boys & Girls Club of Central Texas Youth Hunt
  • BSA Troop 51
  • Comal County 4H Claybusters
  • Conroe Hunter Safety Education course for Montgomery county*
  • Houston Hunter Safety Education course in association with SCI Houston for Harris & Liberty counties*
  • Houston Wounded Hero Deer Hunt in association with SCI Houston* featured in the Bugle
  • Hunt with Heart
  • Hunters for the Hungry
  • Nueces Canyon Outdoor Outreach Program*
  • Operation Game Thief Public Education
  • Permian Basin Young Gun Rifle & Pistol Club
  • Schreiner University Shooting Team-  they earned a 1st place in the D1 National championship 2019
  • Texas Archery Academy
  • Texas Youth Hunting Program
  • Tigertown 4-H Shooting Sports
